Through your faith in Jesus Christ, God will
put your sin to death by the Holy Spirit.
When tempted, when prone or about to sin, unwaveringly
believe that through your faith in Jesus Christ,
God will put your sin to death by the power
of the Holy Spirit, and that God has already
given you the faith to believe, and humbly thank
and praise God for healing you by His grace,
mercy, compassion, faithfulness, and love, magnifying
and glorifying His Name forever.
Put your faith in Jesus. Trust the Lord about
everything He said, everything in your life.
Galatians:2:20: I have been crucified with
Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives
in me. The life I live in the body, I live by
faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
himself for me.

01. GOD GIVES US OUR FAITH.
Ephesians:2:8: For it is by grace you have
been saved, through faith and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God [9] not by
works, so that no one can boast. [10] For we
are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
to do good works, which God prepared in advance
for us to do.
02. BELIEVING AND NOT SINNING GO TOGETHER.
Romans:1:1: Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus,
called to be an apostle and set apart for the
gospel of God [2] the gospel he promised beforehand
through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures
[3] regarding his Son, who as to his human nature
was a descendant of David, [4] and who through
the Spirit of holiness was declared with power
to be the Son of God by his resurrection from
the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. [5] Through
him and for his name's sake, we received grace
and apostleship to call people from among all
the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from
faith.
Galatians:3:11: Clearly no one is justified
before God by the law, because, “The righteous
will live by faith.” [Habbakuk: 2:4]
Ephesians:6:6: In addition to all this, take
up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [17]
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God.
1 Timothy:1:18: Timothy, my son, I give you
this instruction in keeping with the prophecies
once made about you, so that by following them

1 Peter:1:3: Praise be to the God and Father

him now, you believe in him and are filled with
an inexpressible and glorious joy, [9] for you
are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation
of your souls.
1 Peter:5:5: All of you, clothe yourselves
with humility toward one another, because, “God
opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
[Proverbs:3:34] [6] Humble yourselves, therefore,
under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you
up in due time. [7] Cast all your anxiety on
him because he cares for you. [8] Be self-controlled
and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around
like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
[9] Resist him, standing firm in the faith,
because you know that your brothers throughout
the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
[10] And the God of all grace, who called you
to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have
suffered a little while, will himself restore

1 John:5:3: This is love for God: to obey his
commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
[4] for everyone born of God overcomes the world.
This is the victory that has overcome the world,

03. BELIEVING AND HAVING THE SPIRIT GO TOGETHER.
John:7:37: On the last and greatest day of
the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,
“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to
me and drink. [38] Whoever believes in me, as
the Scripture has said, streams of living water
will flow from within him.” [39] By this
he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed
in him were later to receive. Up to that time
the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had
not yet been glorified.
Acts:6:5: This proposal pleased the whole group.
They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and
of the Holy Spirit;
Acts:11:24: He was a good man, full of the
Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of
people were brought to the Lord.
Acts:19:2: and asked them, “Did you receive
the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
Romans:15:13: May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power
of the Holy Spirit.
Galatians:3:1: You foolish Galatians! Who has
bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ
was clearly portrayed as crucified. [2] I would
like to learn just one thing from you: Did you
receive the Spirit by observing the law, or
by believing what you heard? [3] Are you so
foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are

Galatians:3:13: Christ redeemed us from the

[14] He redeemed us in order that the blessing
given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles
through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might

Galatians:5:5: But by faith we eagerly await
through the Spirit the righteousness for which
we hope. [6] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing
that counts is faith expressing itself through
love.
1 Corinthians:13:2: If I have the gift of prophecy
and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have a faith that can move mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give
all I possess to the poor and surrender my body
to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
[4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not

that you, being rooted and established in love,

is the love of Christ, [19] and to know this
love that surpasses knowledge - that you may
be filled to the measure of all the fullness
of God. [20] Now to him who is able to do immeasurably
more than all we ask or imagine, according to
his power that is at work within us, [21] to
him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, for ever and ever!

Jude:Vs.20. But you, dear friends, build yourselves
up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy
Spirit. [21] Keep yourselves in God's love as
you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
to bring you to eternal life.
04. GOD PUTS OUR SIN TO DEATH BY THE SPIRIT.
Romans:8:1: Therefore, there is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus, [2] because
through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of
life set me free from the law of sin and death.
[3] For what the law was powerless to do in
that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God
did by sending his own Son in the likeness of
sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned
sin in sinful man, [4] in order that the righteous
requirements of the law might be fully met in
us, who do not live according to the sinful
nature but according to the Spirit.
Romans:8:5: Those who live according to the
sinful nature have their minds set on what that
nature desires; but those who live in accordance
with the Spirit have their minds set on what
the Spirit desires. [6] The mind of sinful man
is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit
is life and peace; [7] the sinful mind is hostile
to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor
can it do so. [8] Those controlled by the sinful
nature cannot please God.
Romans:8:9: You, however, are controlled not
by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the
Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does
not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong
to Christ. [10] But if Christ is in you, your
body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit
is alive because of righteousness. [11] And
if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the
dead is living in you, he who raised Christ
from the dead will also give life to your mortal
bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Romans:8:12: Therefore, brothers, we have an
obligation-but it is not to the sinful nature,
to live according to it. [13] For if you live
according to the sinful nature, you will die;
but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds
of the body, you will live, [14] because those
who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of
God. [15] For you did not receive a spirit that
makes you a slave again to fear, but you received
the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba,
Father.” [16] The Spirit himself testifies
with our spirit that we are God's children.
[17] Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs
of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we
share in his sufferings in order that we may
also share in his glory.
Romans:15:14: I myself am convinced, my brothers,
that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete
in knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
[15] I have written you quite boldly on some
points, as if to remind you of them again, because
of the grace God gave me [16] to be a minister
of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly
duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that
the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable
to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Galatians:5:16: So I say, live by the Spirit,
and you will not gratify the desires of the
sinful nature. [17] For the sinful nature desires
what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit
what is contrary to the sinful nature. They
are in conflict with each other, so that you
do not do what you want. [18] But if you are
led by the Spirit, you are not under law. [19]
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual
immorality, impurity and debauchery 2:20: idolatry
and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits
of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
[21] and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the
like. I warn you, as I did before, that those
who live like this will not inherit the kingdom
of God. [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law. [24] Those
who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the
sinful nature with its passions and desires.
[25] Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep
in step with the Spirit.
1 Peter 1:1: Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered
throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia
and Bithynia, 2who have been chosen according
to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through
the sanctifying1 work of the Spirit, for obedience
to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
Titus:3:3: At one time we too were foolish,
disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds
of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice
and envy, being hated and hating one another.
[4] But when the kindness and love of God our
Savior appeared, [5] he saved us, not because
of righteous things we had done, but because
of his mercy. He saved us through the washing
of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, [6]
whom he poured out on us generously through
Jesus Christ our Savior, [7] so that, having
been justified by his grace, we might become
heirs having the hope of eternal life. [8] This
is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress
these things, so that those who have trusted
in God may be careful to devote themselves to
doing what is good. These things are excellent
and profitable for everyone.
John:14:26: “But the Counselor, the Holy
Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you all things and will remind you
of everything I have said to you.” - words
of Jesus
John:16:13: “But when he, the Spirit
of truth, comes, he will guide you into all
truth. He will not speak on his own; he will
speak only what he hears, and he will tell you
what is yet to come.” - words of Jesus
05. GOD IS PROACTIVE IN HELPING US AND DEVELOPING
US.
Acts:15:8: God, who knows the heart, showed
that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit
to them, just as he did to us. [9] He made no
distinction between us and them, for he purified
their hearts by faith.
Romans:8:28: And we know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.
[29] For those God foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the likeness of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
[30] And those he predestined, he also called;
those he called, he also justified; those he
justified, he also glorified.
Romans:16:25: Now to him who is able to establish
you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery
hidden for long ages past, [26] but now revealed
and made known through the prophetic writings
by the command of the eternal God, so that all
nations might believe and obey him - [27] to
the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus

1 Corinthians:10:12: So, if you think you are
standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!

2 Corinthians:1:21: Now it is God who makes
both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed

what is to come.
2 Corinthians:3:17: Now the Lord is the Spirit,
and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
freedom. [18] And we, who with unveiled faces
all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed
into his likeness with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians:4:6: For God, who said, “Let
light shine out of darkness,” [Genesis
1:3] made his light shine in our hearts to give
us the light of the knowledge of the glory of

power is from God and not from us.
2 Corinthians:9:8: And God is able to make
all grace abound to you, so that in all things
at all times, having all that you need, you

gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures
forever.” [Psalm:112:9] [10] Now he who
supplies seed to the sower and bread for food
will also supply and increase your store of

you can be generous on every occasion, and through
us your generosity will result in thanksgiving
to God.
Ephesians:1:17: I keep asking that the God
of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,
may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation,
so that you may know him better. [18] I pray
also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened
in order that you may know the hope to which
he has called you, the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints, [19] and his incomparably

Phi1ippians:1:3: I thank my God every time
I remember you. [4] In all my prayers for all
of you, I always pray with joy [5] because of
your partnership in the gospel from the first
day until now, [6] being confident of this,
that he who began a good work in you will carry
it on to completion until the day of Christ

Philippians:2:12: Therefore, my dear friends,

Titus:2:11: For the grace of God that brings

us to say “No” to ungodliness and
worldly passions, and to live self-controlled,
upright and godly lives in this present age,
[13] while we wait for the blessed hope-the
glorious appearing of our great God and Savior,

Hebrews:8:10: “This is the covenant I
will make with the house of Israel after that
time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws
in their minds and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God, and they will be my people.
[11] No longer will a man teach his neighbor,
or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the
Lord,’ because they will all know me,

Hebrews:9:14: How much more, then, will the
blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit

Hebrews:12:1: Therefore, since we are surrounded
by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw
off everything that hinders and the sin that
so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance

faith, who for the joy set before him endured

sinful men, so that you will not grow weary

James:2:5: Listen, my dear brothers: Has not
God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of
the world to be rich in faith and to inherit
the kingdom he promised those who love him?
2 Peter:1:3: His divine power has given us
everything we need for life and godliness through
our knowledge of him who called us by his own
glory and goodness. [4] Through these he has
given us his very great and precious promises,
so that through them you may participate in
the divine nature and escape the corruption

1 John:3:5: But you know that he appeared so
that he might take away our sins. And in him
is no sin. [6] No one who lives in him keeps
on sinning. No one who continues to sin has
either seen him or known him.
1 John:3:9: No one who is born of God will
continue to sin, because God's seed remains
in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he
has been born of God.
1 John:3:18: We know that anyone born of God
does not continue to sin; the one who was born
of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot

Acts:3:16: By faith in the name of Jesus, this
man whom you see and know was made strong. It
is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through
him that has given this complete healing to

Acts:11:21: The Lord's hand was with them,

06. WE MUST APPLY THE FAITH GOD GIVES US. [It
brings healing, and we need to be healed of
our sinful nature].
Acts:11:22:.. and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
[23] When he arrived and saw the evidence of
the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged
them all to remain true to the Lord with all
their hearts.
Acts:14:8: In Lystra there sat a man crippled
in his feet, who was lame from birth and had
never walked. [9] He listened to Paul as he
was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw
that he had faith to be healed [10] and called
out, “Stand up on your feet!” At
that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
1 Corinthians:16:13: Be on your guard; stand
firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
[14] Do everything in love.
2 Corinthians:1:24: Not that we lord it over
your faith, but we work with you for your joy,
because it is by faith you stand firm.
James:4:4: You adulterous people, don't you
know that friendship with the world is hatred
toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend
of the world becomes an enemy of God. [5] Or
do you think Scripture says without reason that
the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?

2 Corinthians:4:13: It is written: “I

and present us with you in his presence.

2 Corinthians:7:1: Since we have these promises,
dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything
that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting

this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may
be glorified in you, and you in him, according
to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy:2:20: In a large house there are articles
not only of gold and silver, but also of wood
and clay; some are for noble purposes and some
for ignoble. [21] If a man cleanses himself
from the latter, he will be an instrument for
noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master
and prepared to do any good work. [22] Flee
the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness,
faith, love and peace, along with those who
call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Hebrews:6:10: God is not unjust; he will not
forget your work and the love you have shown
him as you have helped his people and continue
to help them. [11] We want each of you to show
this same diligence to the very end, in order
to make your hope sure. [12] We do not want
you to become lazy, but to imitate those who
through faith and patience inherit what has
been promised.
Hebrews:9:15: For this reason Christ is the
mediator of a new covenant, that those who are
called may receive the promised eternal inheritance
- now that he has died as a ransom to set them
free from the sins committed under the first
covenant.
Hebrews:10:35: So do not throw away your confidence;
it will be richly rewarded. [36] You need to
persevere so that when you have done the will
of God, you will receive what he has promised.
[37] For in just a very little while, “He
who is coming will come and will not delay.
[38] But my righteous one will live by faith.
And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased
with him.” [Habakkuk:2:3-4] [39] But we
are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed,
but of those who believe and are saved.
James:1:2: Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds, [3]
because you know that the testing of your faith
develops perseverance. [4] Perseverance must
finish its work so that you may be mature and
complete, not lacking anything. ...[12] Blessed
is the man who perseveres under trial, because
when he has stood the test, he will receive
the crown of life that God has promised to those
who love him.
Matthew:8:8: The centurion replied, “Lord,
I do not deserve to have you come under my roof.
But just say the word, and my servant will be
healed. [9] For I myself am a man under authority,
with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’
and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’
and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do
this,’ and he does it. [10] When Jesus
heard this, he was astonished and said to those
following him, “I tell you the truth,
I have not found anyone in Israel with such
great faith. ...[13] Then Jesus said to the
centurion, “Go! It will be done just as
you believed it would.” And his servant
was healed at that very hour.
Matthew:9:2: Some men brought to him a paralytic,
lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith,
he said to the paralytic, “Take heart,
son; your sins are forgiven.” ...Then
he said to the paralytic, “Get up, take
your mat and go home.” [7] And the man
got up and went home. [8] When the crowd saw
this, they were filled with awe; and they praised
God, who had given such authority to men.
Matthew:9:20: Just then a woman who had been
subject to bleeding for twelve years came up
behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
[21] She said to herself, “If I only touch
his cloak, I will be healed.” [22] Jesus
turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,”
he said, “your faith has healed you.”
And the woman was healed from that moment.
Luke:8:48: Then he said to her, “Daughter,
your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
[49] While Jesus was still speaking, someone
came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue
ruler. “Your daughter is dead,”
he said. “Don't bother the teacher any
more.” [50] Hearing this, Jesus said to
Jairus, “Don't be afraid; just believe,
and she will be healed.” [51] When he
arrived at the house of Jairus ...[54]...he
took her by the hand and said, “My child,
get up!” [55] Her spirit returned, and
at once she stood up. [also Mark:5:35-42]
Matthew:9:27: As Jesus went on from there,
two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have
mercy on us, Son of David!” [28] When
he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him,
and he asked them, “Do you believe that
I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,”
they replied. [29] Then he touched their eyes
and said, “According to your faith will
it be done to you”; [30] and their sight
was restored.
Matthew:15:22: A Canaanite woman from that
vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord,
Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter
is suffering terribly from demon possession.”
[23] Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples
came to him and urged him, “Send her away,
for she keeps crying out after us.” [24]
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost
sheep of Israel.” [25] The woman came
and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!”
she said. [26] He replied, “It is not
right to take the children's bread and toss
it to their dogs.” [27] “Yes, Lord,”
she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs
that fall from their masters' table.”
[28] Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you
have great faith! Your request is granted.”
And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Matthew:17:18: Jesus rebuked the demon, and
it came out of the boy, and he was healed from
that moment. [19] Then the disciples came to
Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn't
we drive it out?” [20] He replied, “Because
you have so little faith. I tell you the truth,
if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from
here to there’ and it will move. Nothing
will be impossible for you.”
Mark:11:21: Peter remembered and said to Jesus,
“Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed
has withered!” [22] “Have faith
in God,” Jesus answered. [23] “I
tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain,
‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’
and does not doubt in his heart but believes
that what he says will happen, it will be done
for him. [24] Therefore I tell you, whatever
you ask for in prayer, believe that you have
received it, and it will be yours.”
Matthew:21:21: Jesus replied, “I tell
you the truth, if you have faith and do not
doubt, not only can you do what was done to
the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain,
‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’
and it will be done. [22] If you believe, you
will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Mark:10:47: When he heard that it was Jesus
of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus,
Son of David, have mercy on me!” [48]
Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but
he shouted all the more, “Son of David,
have mercy on me!” [49] Jesus stopped
and said, “Call him.” ...[51]“What
do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked
him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want
to see.” [52] “Go,” said Jesus,
“your faith has healed you.” Immediately
he received his sight and followed Jesus along
the road. [also Luke:18:35-43]
Luke:5:18: Some men came carrying a paralytic
on a mat and tried to take him into the house
to lay him before Jesus. [19] When they could
not find a way to do this because of the crowd,
they went up on the roof and lowered him on
his mat through the tiles into the middle of
the crowd, right in front of Jesus. [20] When
Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend,
your sins are forgiven.” [21] The Pharisees
and the teachers of the law began thinking to
themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks
blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
[22] Jesus knew what they were thinking and
asked, “Why are you thinking these things
in your hearts? [23] Which is easier: to say,
‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to
say, ‘Get up and walk’? [24] But
that you may know that the Son of Man has authority
on earth to forgive sins....” He said
to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get
up, take your mat and go home.” [25] Immediately
he stood up in front of them, took what he had
been lying on and went home praising God. [26]
Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God.
They were filled with awe and said, “We
have seen remarkable things today.” [also
Mark :2:3-12]
Luke:7:37: When a woman who had lived a sinful
life in that town learned that Jesus was eating
at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster
jar of perfume, [38] and as she stood behind
him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his
feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with
her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on
them. ...[44] Then he turned toward the woman
and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman?
I came into your house. You did not give me
any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with
her tears and wiped them with her hair. [45]
You did not give me a kiss, but this woman,
from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing
my feet. [46] You did not put oil on my head,
but she has poured perfume on my feet. [47]
Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been
forgiven-for she loved much. But he who has
been forgiven little loves little.”...
[50] Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith
has saved you; go in peace.”
Luke:17:5: The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase
our faith!” [6] He replied, “If
you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you
can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted
and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey
you.”
Luke:17:11: Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus
traveled along the border between Samaria and
Galilee. [12] As he was going into a village,
ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood
at a distance [13] and called out in a loud
voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
[14] When he saw them, he said, “Go, show
yourselves to the priests.” And as they
went, they were cleansed. [15] One of them,
when he saw he was healed, came back, praising
God in a loud voice. [16] He threw himself at
Jesus' feet and thanked him-and he was a Samaritan.
[17] Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed?
Where are the other nine? [18] Was no one found
to return and give praise to God except this
foreigner?” [19] Then he said to him,
“Rise and go; your faith has made you
well.”
What we do as a result of our faith, with our
faith, by our faith, through our faith:
? Prayer
? Christian Relationships
? Walking the Walk
? Glorifying God
? Rejoicing in God
07. LACK OF APPLYING THE FAITH:
God has given you faith to overcome fear and
doubt, underperformance.
Matthew:14:29: “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked
on the water and came toward Jesus. [30] But
when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning
to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
[31] Immediately Jesus reached out his hand
and caught him. “You of little faith,”
he said, “why did you doubt?”
Luke:8:23: As they sailed, he fell asleep.
A squall came down on the lake, so that the
boat was being swamped, and they were in great
danger. [24] The disciples went and woke him,
saying, “Master, Master, we're going to
drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind
and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and
all was calm. [25] “Where is your faith?”
he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement
they asked one another, “Who is this?
He commands even the winds and the water, and
they obey him.” - word and deed of Jesus
Mark:4:39: He got up, rebuked the wind and
said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!”
Then the wind died down and it was completely
calm. [40] He said to his disciples, “Why
are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
Matthew:8:26: He replied, “You of little
faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he
got up and rebuked the winds and the waves,
and it was completely calm.
Mark:6:4: Jesus said to them, “Only in
his hometown, among his relatives and in his
own house is a prophet without honor.”
[5] He could not do any miracles there, except
lay his hands on a few sick people and heal
them. [6] And he was amazed at their lack of
faith.
Matthew:13:57: And they took offense at him.
But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown
and in his own house is a prophet without honor.”
58And he did not do many miracles there because
of their lack of faith.
John8:24: “I told you that you would
die in your sins; if you do not believe that
I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed
die in your sins.” - words of Jesus
1 Thessalonians:2:10:...They perish because
they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
[11] For this reason God sends them a powerful
delusion so that they will believe the lie [12]
and so that all will be condemned who have not
believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
Hebrews:3:12: See to it, brothers, that none
of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that
turns away from the living God. [13] But encourage
one another daily, as long as it is called Today,
so that none of you may be hardened by sin's
deceitfulness. [14] We have come to share in
Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence
we had at first. [15] As has just been said:
“Today, if you hear his voice, do not
harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
[Psalm:95:7-8] [16] Who were they who heard
and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses
led out of Egypt? [17] And with whom was he
angry for forty years? Was it not with those
who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert?
[18] And to whom did God swear that they would
never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?
[19] So we see that they were not able to enter,
because of their unbelief. 4:1: Therefore, since
the promise of entering his rest still stands,
let us be careful that none of you be found
to have fallen short of it. [2] For we also
have had the gospel preached to us, just as
they did; but the message they heard was of
no value to them, because those who heard did
not combine it with faith.
Hebrews:11:6: And without faith it is impossible
to please God, because anyone who comes to him
must believe that he exists and that he rewards
those who earnestly seek him.
James:1:5: If any of you lacks wisdom, he should
ask God, who gives generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be given to him.
[6] But when he asks, he must believe and not
doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave
of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. [7]
That man should not think he will receive anything
from the Lord; [8] he is a double-minded man,
unstable in all he does.
08. ASK GOD FOR HELP BELIEVING.
Mark:9:17: A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher,
I brought you my son, who is possessed by a
spirit that has robbed him of speech. [18] Whenever
it seizes him, it throws him to the ground.
He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and
becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive
out the spirit, but they could not.” [19]
“O unbelieving generation,” Jesus
replied, “how long shall I stay with you?
How long shall I put up with you? Bring the
boy to me.” [20] So they brought him.
When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw
the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground
and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. [21]
Jesus asked the boy's father, “How long
has he been like this?” “From childhood,”
he answered. [22] “It has often thrown
him into fire or water to kill him. But if you
can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
[23] “ ‘If you can’?”
said Jesus. “Everything is possible for
him who believes.” [24] Immediately the
boy's father exclaimed, “I do believe;
help me overcome my unbelief!”
09. BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST.
Acts:16:31: They replied, “Believe in
the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and
your household.”
Acts:26:15: “Then I asked, ‘Who
are you, Lord?’ “I am Jesus, whom
you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied.
[16] ‘Now get up and stand on your feet.
I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant
and as a witness of what you have seen of me
and what I will show you. [17] I will rescue
you from your own people and from the Gentiles.
I am sending you to them [18] to open their
eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and
from the power of Satan to God, so that they
may receive forgiveness of sins and a place
among those who are sanctified1 by faith in
me.’
Romans:1:16: I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God for the salvation
of everyone who believes: first for the Jew,
then for the Gentile. [17] For in the gospel
a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness
that is by faith from first to last, just as
it is written: “The righteous will live
by faith.” [Habakkuk:2:4]
Romans:3:22: This righteousness from God comes
through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
There is no difference, [23] for all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God, [24] and
are justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans:10:9: That if you confess with your
mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved. [10] For it is with your
heart that you believe and are justified, and
it is with your mouth that you confess and are
saved.
1 Corinthians:2:4: My message and my preaching
were not with wise and persuasive words, but
with a demonstration of the Spirit's power,
5so that your faith might not rest on men's
wisdom, but on God's power.
Galatians:3:26: You are all sons of God through
faith in Christ Jesus,
1 Thessalonians:4:14: We believe that Jesus
died and rose again and so we believe that God
will bring with Jesus those who have fallen
asleep in him.
2 Timothy:3:14: But as for you, continue in
what you have learned and have become convinced
of, because you know those from whom you learned
it, [15] and how from infancy you have known
the holy Scriptures, which are able to make
you wise for salvation through faith in Christ
Jesus. [16] All Scripture is God-breathed and
is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
and training in righteousness, [17] so that
the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for
every good work.
1 John:5:1: Everyone who believes that Jesus
is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who
loves the father loves his child as well.
Mark:1:14: After John was put in prison, Jesus
went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news
of God. [15] “The time has come,”
he said. “The kingdom of God is near.
Repent and believe the good news!”
Mark:16:16: “Whoever believes and is
baptized will be saved, but whoever does not
believe will be condemned.” - words of
Jesus
John:1:12: Yet to all who received him, to
those who believed in his name, he gave the
right to become children of God.
John:3:14: “Just as Moses lifted up the
snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must
be lifted up, [15] that everyone who believes
in him may have eternal life. [16] For God so
loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did
not send his Son into the world to condemn the
world, but to save the world through him. [18]
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but
whoever does not believe stands condemned already
because he has not believed in the name of God's
one and only Son.” - words of Jesus.
John:3:36: “Whoever believes in the Son
has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son
will not see life, for God's wrath remains on
him.” - words of Jesus
John:4:41: And because of his words many more
became believers. [42] They said to the woman,
“We no longer believe just because of
what you said; now we have heard for ourselves,
and we know that this man really is the Savior
of the world.” - speaking of Jesus
John:5:24: “I tell you the truth, whoever
hears my word and believes him who sent me has
eternal life and will not be condemned; he has
crossed over from death to life.” - words
of Jesus
John:6:28: Then they asked him, “What
must we do to do the works God requires?”
[29] Jesus answered, “The work of God
is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
John:6:35: Then Jesus declared, “I am
the bread of life. He who comes to me will never
go hungry, and he who believes in me will never
be thirsty.”
John:6:40: “For my Father's will is that
everyone who looks to the Son and believes in
him shall have eternal life, and I will raise
him up at the last day.” - words of Jesus
John:6:47: “I tell you the truth, he
who believes has everlasting life.” -

John:11:25: Jesus said to her, “I am
the resurrection and the life. He who believes
in me will live, even though he dies; [26] and
whoever lives and believes in me will never
die. Do you believe this?”
John:11:40: Then Jesus said, “Did I not
tell you that if you believed, you would see
the glory of God?”
John:12:44: Then Jesus cried out, “When
a man believes in me, he does not believe in
me only, but in the one who sent me. [45] When
he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.
[46] I have come into the world as a light,
so that no one who believes in me should stay
in darkness.”
John 20:30: Jesus did many other miraculous
signs in the presence of his disciples, which
are not recorded in this book. [31] But these
are written that you may believe that Jesus
is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing
you may have life in his name.
Acts:10:43: “All the prophets testify
about him that everyone who believes in him
receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

10. NOT BEING PUT TO SHAME.
Romans:9:33: As it is written: “See,
I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall, and the one
who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”

1 Peter:2:6: For in Scripture it says: “See,
I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious
cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will
never be put to shame.” [Isaiah:28:16]

11. FAITH DEFINITION
Hebrews:11:1: Now faith is being sure of what
we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
James:2:14: What good is it, my brothers, if
a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?
Can such faith save him? [15] Suppose a brother
or sister is without clothes and daily food.
[16] If one of you says to him, “Go, I
wish you well; keep warm and well fed,”
but does nothing about his physical needs, what
good is it? [17] In the same way, faith by itself,
if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
[18] But someone will say, “You have faith;
I have deeds.” Show me your faith without
deeds, and I will show you my faith by what
I do. [19] You believe that there is one God.
Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder.
[20] You foolish man, do you want evidence that
faith without deeds is useless? [21] Was not
our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for
what he did when he offered his son Isaac on
the altar? [22] You see that his faith and his
actions were working together, and his faith
was made complete by what he did. [23] And the
scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham
believed God, and it was credited to him as
righteousness,” [Genesis:15:6] and he
was called God's friend. [24] You see that a
person is justified by what he does and not
by faith alone. [25] In the same way, was not
even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous
for what she did when she gave lodging to the
spies and sent them off in a different direction?
[26] As the body without the spirit is dead,
so faith without deeds is dead.
12. APPLYING FAITH - EXAMPLE
Romans:4:18: Against all hope, Abraham in hope
believed and so became the father of many nations,
just as it had been said to him, “So shall
your offspring be.” [Genesis:15:5] [19]
Without weakening in his faith, he faced the
fact that his body was as good as dead–since
he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah's
womb was also dead. [20] Yet he did not waver
through unbelief regarding the promise of God,
but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory
to God, [21] being fully persuaded that God
had power to do what he had promised. [22] This
is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
[Genesis:15:6] [23] The words “it was
credited to him” were written not for
him alone, [24] but also for us, to whom God
will credit righteousness–for us who believe
