Matthew:22:36:
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment
in the Law?” [37] Jesus replied: “
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.' [38]
This is the first and greatest commandment. [39]
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor
as yourself.' [40] All the Law and the Prophets
hang on these two commandments.”
Mark:12: [28]
One of the teachers of the law came and heard
them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them
a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the
commandments, which is the most important?”
[29] “The most important one,” answered
Jesus, “is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord
our God, the Lord is one. [30] Love the Lord your
God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
[31] The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as
yourself.' There is no commandment greater than
these.”
Dueteronomy:6:
[4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD
is one. [5] Love the LORD your God with all your
heart and with all your soul and with all your
strength.
Leviticus:19:18:
“... but love your neighbor as yourself.
I am the Lord.”
01. OBEY THE LORD WITH ALL
YOUR HEART AND SOUL:
Dueteronomy: 26:16: The LORD
your God commands you this day to follow these
decrees and laws; carefully observe them with
all your heart and with all your soul.
Psalm:119: [33] Teach me, O
LORD, to follow your decrees; then I will keep
them to the end. [34] Give me understanding, and
I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
[35] Direct me in the path of your commands, for
there I find delight.
02. SERVE THE LORD WITH ALL
YOUR HEART AND SOUL:
Deuteronomy:10:
[12] And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your
God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God,
to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve
the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul, [13] and to observe the LORD's
commands and decrees that I am giving you today
for your own good?
Dueteronomy:11:
[13] So if you faithfully obey the commands I
am giving you today-to love the LORD your God
and to serve him with all your heart and with
all your soul- [14] then I will send rain on your
land in its season, both autumn and spring rains,
so that you may gather in your grain, new wine
and oil.
Joshuah:22:
[5] “But be very careful to keep the commandment
and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD
gave you: to love the LORD your God, to walk in
all his ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast
to him and to serve him with all your heart and
all your soul.”
1 Samuel:12:20:
“Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied.
“You have done all this evil; yet do not
turn away from the LORD, but serve the LORD with
all your heart.”
1 Samuel:
12:24: But be sure to fear the LORD and serve
him faithfully with all your heart; consider what
great things he has done for you.
03. SEEK THE LORD WITH ALL
YOUR HEART:
Jeremiah:29: [12] “Then
you will call upon me and come and pray to me,
and I will listen to you. [13] You will seek me
and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
[14] I will be found by you,” declares the
LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity.”
Psalm:119:9: How can a young
man keep his way pure? By living according to
your word. [10] I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands. [11] I
have hidden your word in my heart that I might
not sin against you.
Psalm:119: [57] You are my
portion, O LORD; I have promised to obey your
words. [58]I have sought your face with all my
heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.
[59] I have considered my ways and have turned
my steps to your statutes.
Psalm:119: [145] I call
with all my heart; answer me, O LORD, and I will
obey your decrees. [146] I call out to you; save
me and I will keep your statutes.
04. REPENT WITH ALL YOUR HEART
AND SOUL:
Joel:2: [12]
“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return
to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping
and mourning.” [13] Rend your heart and
not your garments. Return to the LORD your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to
anger and abounding in love, and he relents from
sending calamity.
Dueteronomy:30:
[4] Even if you have been banished to the most
distant land under the heavens, from there the
LORD your God will gather you and bring you back.
[5] He will bring you to the land that belonged
to your fathers, and you will take possession
of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous
than your fathers. [6] The LORD your God will
circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your
descendants, so that you may love him with all
your heart and with all your soul, and live. [7]
The LORD your God will put all these curses on
your enemies who hate and persecute you. [8] You
will again obey the LORD and follow all his commands
I am giving you today. [9] Then the LORD your
God will make you most prosperous in all the work
of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the
young of your livestock and the crops of your
land. The LORD will again delight in you and make
you prosperous, just as he delighted in your fathers,
[10] if you obey the LORD your God and keep his
commands and decrees that are written in this
Book of the Law and turn to the LORD your God
with all your heart and with all your soul.
05. TRUST THE LORD WITH ALL
YOUR HEART:
Proverbs:3:[5] Trust in the
LORD with all your heart and lean not on your
own understanding; [6] in all your ways acknowledge
him, and he will make your paths straight.
06. PRAISE THE LORD WITH ALL
YOUR HEART:
Psalm:9: [1 I] will praise
you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of
all your wonders.
[2I] will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing
praise to your name, O Most High.
Psalm:138: [1] I will
praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; before
the “gods” I will sing your praise.
[2] I will bow down toward your holy temple and
will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness,
for you have exalted above all things your name
and your word.
07. REJOICE WITH ALL YOUR
HEART:
Zepaniah:3: [14] Sing, O Daughter
of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice
with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem!
[15] The LORD has taken away your punishment,
he has turned back your enemy. The LORD, the King
of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear
any harm.
08. KNOWING WITH ALL YOUR
HEART AND SOUL:
Joshuah:23:14: “Now I
am about to go the way of all the earth. You know
with all your heart and soul that not one of all
the good promises the LORD your God gave you has
failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not
one has failed.”
