Pray Without Ceasing
  1. Praise God for the responsibility he has given to us to be intercessors. We are the ones who are to be Salt & Light to others. Pray that God will continue to use you through prayers to transform individuals, families and the world.
  2. Anti-social elements are attempting a forced re-conversion (back to Hinduism) in the state of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and other parts of our country India. Each house in the different areas are marked by orange flags. Those who refuse, their houses will be a target for harassment. Pray that God will intervene, and thwart such action.
  3. Continue to pray for the Churches in India. The repeal of state anti-conversion laws has been a tremendous miracle - but challenges still remain. One state continues to uphold anti-conversion laws, and persecution persists throughout the country.
  4. The Untouchables of India constitute about 40% of India’s over 1,050 million population. Together with 10% Tribals, they make up a formidable 30% - far exceeding the population of entire Europe. However, such a vast humanity, constituting the core of India’s original inhabitants, is kept enslaved by less than 15% Aryans, India’s ruling class. Pray for India.
  5. Several attacks in the state of Karnataka demonstrate the difficulties for Christian leaders in India. Last month September 1, 2006, Pastor John Prabhu was at a home in Bangalore, praying for a Church member when a group of anti-social elements beat him, and forced the Pastor to kneel before the temple idols. He was then taken to the local police station where he was detained for several hours for questioning.
  6. Children living and working on the streets face a huge number of risks: they are vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, ill health, and many other dangers. Pray for the NGO’s including AGAPE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP who work among these children will bring about a change in the society.
  7. The United Nation has agreed to support the peace process in Nepal. The 7 party government and the Maoists have been in negotiations since they signed a ceasefire in April 2006 and requested the UN to help. Pray that peace will completely be restored.
  8. Pray that Christians of the “lowest Dalit classes” who lost their jobs and homes when they converted to Christianity would be dependent on God rather than the government for all their needs. Pray that their fellow believers who are affluent will help them in their needs.
  9. Pray for the Christian women in India who face crippling poverty and an oppressive culture; for those who are beaten, threatened and abandoned by husbands or parents because they gave birth to girl children or accepted Christ.
  10. Christian mothers need to speak words of love and encouragement to their children, modeling for them the way to honor God by all that they do and say, empowering them to be all that they can be for God. Pray for Christian mothers everywhere, for wisdom and patience.
  11. Pray for Christian who are persecuted or killed in Afghanistan, Asia, Central Asia, Ethiopia, China, India, North Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, and Morocco etc. Pray that God will strengthen His followers and use their suffering to draw others to Himself.
  12. Pray for all the Church group, and for wisdom for good leadership. Pray that they might be sensitive to the Lord’s guidance regarding the direction of the Church.
  13. Continue to pray for the grass-root level Gospel workers and local lay leaders, that the Lord will protect and give them strength to serve Him faithfully.
  14. Pray for all the Pastors, Evangelists and Gospel workers. They are all there to encourage and serve God and be a blessing to others. Pray for wisdom and courage for them to follow the path, the Lord marks out for them.
  15. Give thanks for the Christian men that they may follow the Word of God and live by it. And also pray that they will be good stewards in their homes and families and an encouragement to one another.
  16. Continue to praise God for the life he has given you. You and I are to be Salt & Light to others. Pray that God will continue to use you effectively in the assigned responsibility.
  17. Pray for more opportunities to share the message of Jesus to those around you. Especially in this advent season, every Christian is busy with various Christmas programmes. Pray that it will not be a mere entertainment, but a heart searching one; their celebration and life-style would honor God.
  18. Continue to pray for Pastors, Bishops of the Church of North India, Church of South India and other leaders of Para-Church organizations, who are serving the Lord at different levels. Pray that the Christian community will be a salt and light for His glory.
  19. Pray for all those who are involved in Christian Media. Pray that God may bless their efforts in presenting the Gospel through Media, and give them the needed insight in order to be more effective for the Lord.
  20. Pray for our Christian leaders chosen by God, that they may serve God faithfully and be servants in attitude and mentor in action. Pray also for these leaders’ family.
  21. Persecution is intense in many parts of our country (India). Many Pastors, Evangelists and Gospel workers are being beaten to death by the anti-social elements. Pray for those who persecute His children.
  22. Are you discouraged and restless? Don’t give up! God is there, Hold on to Him and renew your inner being in confirmation with the Scripture. Ask God to show all your weakness so that you may grow mature in the Lord.
  23. Pray for Christians all over India and the world. Their celebration of Christmas will be a real celebration of joy in the presence of God.
  24. Pray specially for the Pastors and Evangelists working at Nepal in the midst of violence. Pray that the Churches would come forward to restore peace in the country.
  25. Give thanks for the Christian men that they may follow the Word of God and live by it. And also pray that they will be good stewards in their homes and families and an encouragement to one another.
  26. Praise God for what he has been to you throughout 2006 and will help you to enter this New Year. Pray that the resolution you have made will bear fruit with the help of the Holy Spirit in 2007.
